Have Your Voice Heard
The Road to Copenhagen is a unique initiative which allows YOU to contribute to the UN negotiating process that we very much hope will result in a new, international climate change agreement for the post-2012 period to be agreed in Copenhagen in 2009. This initiative is jointly chaired by Margot Wallström, current Vice President of the European Commission and former Environment Commissioner, Gro Harlem Brundtland, former Prime Minister of Norway, current UN Special Envoy on Climate Change and member of the Club of Madrid’s Global Leadership for Climate Action (GLCA); and Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, Vice President of the Club of Madrid and member of the GLCA. Please listen to the avatars above to hear why these three eminent ladies are chairing this unique initiative. Find out more about the initiative. The Road to Copenhagen is an interactive initiative aimed at giving business, parliamentarians, NGOs and individual citizens a voice. The wiki technology offers you the possibility to directly edit, comment and input to the development of policy contributions which will be circulated to the lead negotiators at the UN Conferences on Climate Change in Poznan. The multiple and vibrant forums offer you the possibility to share your views and to engage on debates. The coming months are crucial for our climate. So HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD and participate by actively influence policy prior to Poznan. CONTRIBUTE NOW in the development of the Policy Contributions Package (Communiqué and Recommendations) to be delivered to the Poznan UNFCCC talks in December 2008. The Communiqué is currently in the wiki and you can place your recommendations in the Forums by creating new ones or contributing to the existing ones. |
