About The Road To Copenhagen 2009

On this interactive website, government, business, parliamentarians, NGOs and individual citizens can have direct input to the development of a communiqué which will be circulated to the lead negotiators at the UN Conferences on Climate Change. You can actively help influence policy by directly editing and sharing your views on this website.

This initiative is jointly hosted by Margot Wallström, current EU Vice President and former Environment Commissioner of the EU;Gro Harlem Brundtland, former Prime Minister of Norway, current UN Special Envoy on Climate Change and member of the Club of Madrid and of the Global Leadership for Climate Action (GLCA); and Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, Vice President of the Club of Madrid and member of the GLCA. Please click above to hear why we are involved in this unique initiative.

This is the place to engage and contribute to a negotiating process that we very much hope will result in a new, international climate change agreement for the post-2012 period to be agreed in Copenhagen in 2009.
